1. What is the difference between replication and duplication?
Replicated discs (also known as pressed or stamped discs) are created by physically pressing your data into the surface of the disc. Duplicated discs (also known as burned discs) encode your data onto the disc by burning microscopic holes into the dye layer of a recordable CD or DVD. Since quality is the rule and replicated discs are the standard for major commercial releases; we have chosen to only provide replication services.
2. What does your price include?
Most companies will give you a “complete” price, but you may later find hidden costs. Every CD PowerHouse package includes the things you need for a retail ready product to actually market & sell.. This includes, but is not limited to: glass mastering, artwork proofs, printing and replication, and assembly. Shrink-wrap is included in package prices however it can be eliminated for a small savings. Shipping and sales tax (if applicable) are not included in our package prices. On orders without mastering, or graphic design, we expect that your finished art files will be supplied to our specifications and that your master disc performs exactly the way you want it to.
